For Breakfast
Many places have something to offer a vegetarian or vegan,
but these are out favorites!
*Cafe This Way*
In Bar Harbor. Mt. Desert St., behind the Alternative Market building.
The have tofu scramble, but don't get the toast, because it usually has honey in it-
get a bagel instead. Also, oatmeal. Coffee is good, they have soymilk, there is usually a wait for a table.

In Bar Harbor. Cottage St., in Bayside Landing.
They also have tofu scramble (get it spicy), as well as vegan french toast (havn't tried the french toast...).
They also have soymilk for your coffee.
*2 Cat's*
In Bar Harbor. Lower Cottage St., across from Mache Bistro.
Havn't been here in years, but, they do have tofu scramble, they are very busy.
but...apparently they have small beta fish swimming in tiny fish bowls on the tables,
which isn't very vegan, at all.
*The Bagel Factory*
In Bar Harbor. Lower Cottage St., tucked behind the Bike Shop.
Not really full breakfast, but Agnes bakes very delicious bagels!
*Chase's Daily*
In Belfast. Kind of far away, but worth mentioning...
They are a vegetarian restaurant, heavy on the dairy and eggs, though.
They have brunch on Sundays, and their breakfast is vegan-friendly.
For Lunch
*Mother's Kitchen*
In Town Hill. Next to Salisbury Hardware, on corner of Gilbert Farm Rd. & Rt.102
A couple very tasty vegan-friendly offerings, the place is totally adorable,
very busy, and everything's from scratch. While you're there, visit the Freedom Farm farmstand!
*Town Hill Market*
In Town Hill. On the intersection of Knox & Crooked Rd, & Rt 102.
They have a busy lunch counter, and offer hummus and/or vegetables in wraps or on bread,
but they are also a natural food market, and lunch is easily supplemented with fun picnic items.
*Not Quite the Corner Deli*
In Bar Harbor. On the corner (not quite) of Main & Cottage St.
They have 2 or 3 vegan-friendly options, very delicious.
